Nintendo Indie World October 2026: Every Game and Release Date Announced
Update: October 30, 2026 – list checked against two showcase recaps.
Nintendo’s Indie World showcase aired on October 28, 2026 and featured about 23 indie games for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. The biggest news: Witchbrook lands in late January 2027, Slime Rancher 2 comes to Switch 2 in January 2027, and Super Battle Golf and R.E.P.O. are on the way to Switch 2. Two games came out right away, and four got free demos on the eShop.

Games you can play right now
- Bao Bao’s Cozy Cleaning Services launched on Switch the same day as the show.
- Sword of the Sea launched on Switch 2 on October 29. It has been on PS5 and PC since August 2025.
Free demos on the eShop
Nintendo released demos for Winds of Viridia, Haunted Paws, Petal Runner and Raccoin. Raccoin’s full Chaos Max Edition follows on November 10.
Biggest announcements
- Witchbrook: the long-awaited magic-school life sim finally has a date in late January 2027. Game Informer lists January 28, while The Big Lead lists January 27, so check the eShop page for the final day in your region.
- Slime Rancher 2: arrives on Switch 2 in January 2027 with an exclusive in-game item for the Switch 2 version.
- Super Battle Golf: the chaotic multiplayer golf game hits Switch 2 on March 25, 2027.
- R.E.P.O.: the co-op horror hit is coming to Switch 2 in 2027.
- Spirit Crossing: launches November 16, 2026, as a Switch and Switch 2 console exclusive.
Dates that differ between sources
The two recaps we used disagree on a few details. Petal Runner is listed as March 8, 2027 by Game Informer and March 28, 2027 by The Big Lead. Witchbrook is January 28 vs. January 27. We will update this page once Nintendo’s eShop listings settle the dates.
