GTA 6 costs $79.99 for the Standard Edition and $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition in the US. In the UK it is £69.99 and £89.99, and in euro countries it is €79.99 and €99.99. Prices are the same on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Notes on each region
- US: $79.99 is $10 above the usual $69.99 AAA price. It is lower than the $100 some analysts had predicted.
- UK: TechRadar first guessed the UK price would be £79.99, but it launched at £69.99. Push Square reported that UK buyers were “pleasantly surprised” there was no price hike.
- Europe: In Germany, the Standard Edition was listed at Amazon.de and MediaMarkt. At pre-order launch, PC Games Hardware reported that the Ultimate Edition was only on the PlayStation Store and Microsoft Store.
- India: At ₹5,999, India is one of the cheapest regions. Khaleej Times worked out that the Indian Standard price is around Dh61 less than the UAE price.
- Canada and Australia: Higher local numbers mostly reflect currency, not a bigger markup.
When the prices were announced
Rockstar revealed the prices on June 24, 2026, and pre-orders opened the next day, June 25, at midnight local time, according to TechRadar. Before that, some analysts had predicted up to $100. The final $79.99 tag is higher than most new AAA games, which usually cost $69.99, but lower than the worst predictions. Retailers can still run their own deals, so check before you buy.
Physical vs digital price
Physical boxes cost the same as digital in the stores we checked. The box holds a download code, not a disc, and ships November 12 so you can preload. Read more in GTA 6 physical edition: no disc.
What the extra money buys

Buying from another region
Digital codes and store accounts are region-locked. Khaleej Times also points out that buying from another region’s store only makes sense if you actually live there and have a valid local account and payment method. Do not buy cheap foreign codes from gray-market sellers.
