You cancel GTA+ through the store where you bought it: PlayStation Store on PS5, or your Microsoft account on Xbox Series X|S. On PS5, go to Settings > Users and Accounts > Account > Payment and Subscriptions > Subscriptions. On Xbox, use the Subscriptions page of your Microsoft account. Your membership stays active until the end of the current billing period.

Rockstar says GTA+ renews monthly on its own until you turn off auto-renewal. If you got a GTA+ trial month with a digital GTA 6 pre-order, check your store’s subscription list for its renewal date, because trials can roll into paid months.

Cancel GTA+ on PS5

  1. Go to Settings > Users and Accounts.
  2. Select Account > Payment and Subscriptions > Subscriptions.
  3. Select GTA+, then Cancel Subscription.

PlayStation also offers Payment and Subscriptions > Game and App Services, where you can pick the subscription and select Turn Off Auto-Renewal. On the web, sign in to PlayStation Account Management, select Subscription, and select Cancel. In the PlayStation App, tap the Store icon, open the menu, and choose Subscriptions Management.

Cancel GTA+ on Xbox Series X|S

Rockstar points Xbox players to account.microsoft.com. Xbox Support gives these steps for subscriptions on your Microsoft account:

  1. Sign in to the Subscriptions page of your Microsoft account with the account that bought GTA+.
  2. Find GTA+ and select Manage.
  3. Select Cancel subscription and follow the prompts.

On the console, subscriptions are listed under Profile & system > Settings > Account > Subscriptions. If you see Turn on recurring billing instead of Manage, auto-renewal is already off.

What you keep and what you lose

Item After your membership ends
Properties, vehicles, cosmetics you already claimed Kept
Bonuses and deals you claimed while a member Kept
Monthly GTA$500,000 deposit Lost
GTA+ Shark Cards with 15% bonus GTA$ Lost
Ongoing member perks like discounts and early access Lost
Games in the GTA+ Games Library Lost
Benefits you have not claimed yet Lost (forfeited)

The last row matters most. Rockstar says unclaimed benefits are forfeited, so claim everything from the current member event before your end date. If you come back later, you only get the event that is live when you rejoin, not past ones.

Refunds and rejoining

Rockstar does not handle refunds for console memberships; it says to see the store’s terms. On Xbox, the refund rules on the Xbox cancellation page apply. After a membership ends, Rockstar notes you may need to wait a short time before you can subscribe again.

Also note that GTA+ benefits on Rockstar’s page are for GTA Online. For what is known about online play in the new game, read our GTA 6 Online at launch guide and the pre-order bonus guide.
