How to Play Roblox on PS5 and Xbox: Download and Account Linking

Yes, Roblox is officially available on PlayStation and Xbox, and it is free to download. On PlayStation, get it from the PlayStation Store for PS5 or PS4. On Xbox, get it from the Xbox store for Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One. Both store listings are rated Teen by the ESRB and let you log in with your existing Roblox account.

Roblox says PlayStation players can join experiences with people on Xbox, iOS, Android, desktop, and Meta Quest.

How to download Roblox on PS5 or PS4

1. Open the PlayStation Store on your console, or online.
2. Search for Roblox.
3. Select the Roblox icon and add it to your library, then follow the on-screen steps to download.
4. Launch Roblox from your Game Library on the Games home screen.

How to download Roblox on Xbox

1. Open the Xbox store on your console, or the Roblox page on xbox.com.
2. Search for Roblox and select it.
3. Get the free download.
4. Open Roblox and log in with your existing Roblox account.

Signing in and linking your account

You can use the same Roblox account you play on phone or PC, so your avatar and items come with you.

PlayStation: Roblox says you can sign in with an existing account using Quick Login from a computer or phone. Quick Login works like this:

1. On the console login screen, choose Log In with Another Device. A one-time code appears. It expires after five minutes.
2. On a phone or computer where you are already logged in, go to Settings, then Quick Login.
3. Read the warnings, enter the code, and review the details.
4. Select Grant Full Account Access.

Only enter a code you requested yourself. Never type in a code someone else sends you.

Xbox: Roblox’s Quick Login help page says Quick Login is not available on Xbox, so log in with your Roblox username and password.

PlayStation linking rules: only one Roblox account can be linked to a PlayStation Network account at a time. To link a different one, unlink the current account first. A Roblox account cannot be linked to a different PlayStation Network account until 90 days after it was first linked.

Kids and parent settings on console

• Roblox notes that the PlayStation version is rated Teen, which the ESRB recommends for ages 13 and up.
• On PlayStation, child accounts can only buy content with suitable age ratings, and purchases need spending limits set by the family manager.
• On Xbox, a child’s Microsoft family settings may need to allow multiplayer and content before Roblox works. Roblox’s Xbox help explains this under the console’s Family settings.
• Gift cards cannot be redeemed on consoles. Redeem them in a web browser first.

Some features are still easier on phone or PC. For example, Roblox says voice chat must be turned on from the mobile app, desktop app, or Roblox.com, not from a console.
